About
We believe community and industry can work together to build healthy and sustainable communities. Our Community Advisory Boards (CABs) are an opportunity to move beyond a one-off community engagement and environmental assessment, to an ongoing and deeper relationship between industry and surrounding communities located in disinvested regions of Louisiana.
Our CABs are made up of local residents and stakeholders of the community and represent community needs and interests. Our mission is to create authentic connections between industry and surrounding communities. We provide advice and feedback to industry on the impact of their activities on our neighborhoods, including pollution and quality of life factors. Our goal is to help industries become better partners so that our communities are healthy and thriving while providing local knowledge and insights to industry to support workforce development and a stronger economy.
Onsite and offsite technical assistance and community outreach strategies through the CAB will help industry cut costs and improve business outcomes while reducing water and air pollution. The E4 assessment – energy, environment, economy, and engagement – will be an essential aspect of technical assistance.
